Working mamasans

In my experience,if you can find a mamasan who only works occasionally and looks after the odd regular,usually good value if not too aunty looking.
That's what I'm looking for since moving to Ellerslie/Mount Wellington.
Had a beauty before I moved from West in January but too far and too expensive to go now because of fuel price.
