Yoshiwara is a district in Tokyo that has the most soaplands the majority do not allow foreigners but a few do. They normally have a sign on the door in english either saying foreigners welcome or no foreigners . If the doorman welcomes you in it's a good sign. Unlike NZ sex is included during the massage ritual . Prices are high but so is the service level .

I see. So the SM places there include sex too, such as GFE Soapland?

I’ve seen prices around 50,000 JPY for 90 min, so won’t be cheap

They do, just remember it's a ritualistic service opposed to GFE booking go with the flow and you can't go wrong . If you don't want sex best go to normal massage place or even mobile massage to your room . This is perfectly legit in Japan the masseuse will come straight to your room some bring massage table others do massage on the bed.
