I have two SIM Card: one for personal use and one for punting. The second SIM is frustrating because I have to create an account, top it up, and deal with a lot of unnecessary hassle. I don't like going into stores to sort that stuff out.

When I was in Thailand, I used an app called Klook where I could simply buy an eSIM online, pay with a credit card, and have it activated instantly. It was quick and easy.

I've looked on Klook for New Zealand options, but I can't find any eSIMs that include a phone number and SMS functionality. I'm looking for an eSIM that can receive texts, not just provide data.
Just wondering how do you guys manage second sim card?

You can buy eSIMs directly from phone companies Vodafone, Spark, Skinny etc off their websites. Beats buying the physical sims at the supermarket like I used to. Your phone has to handle esims though. Klook is more for buying eSIMs in foreign countries like SEA.

I recommend every punter always use a separate sim/phone number for punting.

We had an incident not long ago where a sex worker actually doxed a punter who placed a bad review on this forum. She doxed him by posting his full name and workplace in the same thread but thankfully had second thoughts after posting and deleted it before anyone saw. I was absolutely disgusted and gave her a stern warning. ⚠️

I'm not sure how she got his full name, perhaps by doing a google search of his number and it came up on his workplace website or perhaps she got his full name from a messenger app using his number.

Besides that there are also other issues with booking off your real number, some escorts will text you out of the blue when they are desperate for business. Which might be problematic if you are in a relationship.

I've been meaning to write a guide about safety precautions for punters when punting, thanks for reminding me.
