I bought the food and beers each time we went. The first time it was supposed to be just a fun night out with the WG (who I was close to as well - we'd hang outside of work) and her friends with me tagging along. But after the first time we all knew each time would be end up being singing, drinking, eating for them and "play with the white guy who has no idea because he doesn't speak Chinese".

Problem with situations like that, especially in South East Asia, is that you'll keep accumulating a larger and larger bill you'll get hit with at the end. Sometimes they scam you as well!
