Been married so long that the sex has all but dried up but we still love each other to bits. Love punting and do it often.

Question is should I be punting less and trying once again to restart the home sex life? Does punting help or hinder sex with your partner? (Questions assumes partner doesn’t know of your punting life of course).

There is good and bad.
I was very frustrated with my wife for many years. She didn't have the drive I have, and not enough sex made me irritable and a but grudgy with her.

After I started punting, that pressure was released and I found we got along better.

But Since I started punting we do it less than before. Sometimes I even turn her down actually. I think our relationship could use more intimacy and I am considering reducing or eliminating punting to try to spark things up again.
 
If its anything like me, she says its what you do for her outside of the bedroom that determines how much sex you get. Well I did all the things she thinks will get her in the mood again, and sex didn't increase, plus its a lot of work.

So I say stick to both, and work on the relationship and see if it gets you more.

I sometimes wonder if women have some sort of sixth sense where they instinctively want to fuck you more if you are fucking someone else.

I always find I get more attention from women when I have a gf or an active sex life than if I am going through a dry spell. Even fucking escorts seems to do the trick.

Your story is same as mine brother. Yep it’s exactly like that brother! She says foreplay is all through the week. That’s fine but then if I make one tiny mistake during the week like don’t put the toilet sheet down or some other crap reason then, her sexometer resets to zero and we restart. In a relationship really hate it when women can withhold sex as some sort of leverage over men and no one bat an eye. But when men do it like withholding security and resource then we are the scumbags of the earth.

I get it, it's a bit of give and take but need to go both ways. With punting at least it's a clear and fair transaction.

Damn are you me!? Not recently per se but when I was with my ex I've done something similar, trained hard, went for long run to build up stamina and try to give her the best body a girl can find. Fuck, without sounding like Andrew Tate (I mostly disagree with his views), we all know deep down that's because the wife knows she has so much leverage over you and understand a decent man will not simply walk away from the things he has built, the companionship, the house, the kids, the impact on our wider family/social network/work, issues arised from a messy divorce etc.

So men will just suck it up even in the absence of sex, we've too much to lose.

With a hooker, there is no leverage if you don't like her you simply walk. So they better give you the best service they can do to keep you around.

Feel your pain but in a different way. She wanted a new car - done. Bags, shoes, clothes, holidays - done, done, done and done. I admit over the years the body gained a few kg's but I wasn't the ugliest bloke going around but it seems like my money didn't help either maybe we need to be Brad Pitt (he's older than me) - looks and the money. At the end of the day though we drifted for a range of reasons and the sex dried up but we are still good friends and love each other. Having a family is something worth building in my opinion and she was the best decision for that as well as spending the best years of my life to explore the world. Yep I’m exactly the same. An affair is way too risky and probably end up costing way more than punting. Plus you don’t get the variety and unless ya loaded won’t get the 20s cuties. Same here, think of every possible scenario as to how I would get caught, and try and put in safeguards, but still risky.
Burner phone. Browse internet in secure folder. Read text then delete straight away. Always pay cash, except for a deposit for the apartment, and paid parking, have a secret bank account with debit card. Make sure Mrs will be out when I get home so If I smell like hooker, I can shower, otherwise I take my normal soap to booking. Wash clothes straight away if they smell like hooker. Ditto man! My last one ended thankfully with no arguments as I was the initiator for almost everything and she would simply comply. Total dead duck. And when I did confront once with the ' hey babe we need to talk' dialogue, she just absconded saying it's a 'her' issue. Knowing her history she had left her two marriages before. I should have read the pattern. Lasted only two months roughly and I am relieved 😅
