This is my first post after lurking this thread for a while.
This happened about 3-4 years ago so it is a bit of an old story but thought it would make a good introduction post.
I used to work at a company that was about 10 minutes drive away from Albany Angels. One day I decided to book there. I still cannot remember how I even came across punting or how I discovered it was a thing here (I was 21 at the time). Anyways I had a booking with Shadow there (I don't think she works there anymore) and it was an alright experience considering I had never been before but I was not keen to book with her again, she was not really my type. Fast forward a couple weeks and I decide to book again. This is where the story begins.
So I had a booking (I think her name was Celeste? I can't remember 100%) booking was confirmed over text and I show up. I pay and then the receptionist walks away, comes back and says "I am so sorry but she says you are too young for her" now this was my second ever punt so I was not aware this was an odd thing and just took it on the chin. She told me to sit down and she will bring the other girls out one by one for me to choose. So I sat there and they all came out (thinking back on this it is something I wish I do more often as it is very hot watching each girl come out and introduce themselves).
Anyway, a handful of girls came out (including Shadow from my previous booking) and I choose one of the girls. I can't remember her name. The receptionist comes back to me and says "I am so sorry she doesn't want to book with you, she says you are too handsome, she doesn't want to get attached" at this point my ego is through the roof I am thinking to myself "what a stud I am" then she hits me with "Shadow will take you for a booking" having already paid and being new to this I accept and it was just as average as the previous booking.
As I ventured out on my punting experiences, exploring new places, I questioned this experience with other SWers and came to the realisation that I was not too young and I was not too handsome
but those girls were most likely double booked and never available in the first place and their goal was to get me to pay and set me up with whatever girl was free at the time.
I look back on it now and find it funny but wanted to post this story so that if there are any other young and fresh punters out there, don't get taken advantage of! always make sure your booking is confirmed with the girl that you choose before any money is handed over.
I have been back to AA a couple of times since as a more experienced punter and had one great punt (one of my best) and another that was also average - I will post those reviews separately.
I hope some of you more experienced punters get a laugh out of this story! would love to hear any funny stories you guys have in your early punting days.
