Sugar dating scams?

Started a profile on a sugar dating site recently, and I am talking to a handful of different girls.

They have all been extremely agreeable, not saying much and not asking any detailed questions about my expectations. They always want to talk on WhatsApp. Several of them have not even mentioned the specific amount of money they want and I'm having to chase them to talk about it, even though they agreed to go on a date already.

Two of them mentioned unprompted that they have a friend they can bring, so I've been offered two threesomes that I didn't ask for.

It feels too good to be true, but I can't figure out the catch. None of them have asked me to send money before our dates.

Does anyone have experience with sugar dating scams? What is really happening?
 
Unless you are Jason Momoa, yes, you are right.
If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
See if you can ask them a question that only a local girl would know as a tester. if they fudge it, then 🚩
 
I tried the sugar dating thing for a while. Maybe I'll write a big guide one it at some point. But yes a lot of scams.

The coffee meetup scam was common, they want money to meet for a coffee then they will just ghost you after. Sometimes they will try and tell you they require 3 coffee dates before an "intimate" date. And then they will probably ghost you after the third coffee date.

There are a lot of time wasters on there and you will end up spending a lot of time chasing people etc.

A lot of escorts are on there as well. So some guys will probably end up paying 1k for something they could have got at the brothel for $300-400. Although they might be open to extras they wouldn't do at the brothel...
 
The admin is horrendous. If you have the time and like to chat, have a bit of riz, not bad looking and have the coin, you can sometimes find a great match.
For the effort, you'd probably be better just picking up the phone for a sure thing. But some guys love the thrill of the chase

Thank you for this brief insight, Johnny. I definitely look forward to your written guide to online dating in NZ, more specifically Auckland.
Also, perhaps you could elaborate on what are the best and safest ways to meeting decent young adult women (18 years and over of course) in Auckland. Thanks
 
I don't know what the scam was going to be, but I canceled the dates. I had a strong feeling that something bad was going to happen. Maybe there are two sad 20-somethings in AKL wondering why I didn't want to have a 3-way, but I doubt it.
