I went to a convenience store the other day and saw their magazine stand with garden, sports, TV mags, some newspapers, etc...no porn.
Are porn magazines still available ? I remember that many years ago I used to go to petrol stations and a few other places, and there were several porn mags for sale, usually partially covered in black plastic.
I even remember one funny episode (maybe 20 yrs ago ?) when I saw a porn magazine on the road, being run over by cars....it was open exactly on the page where the girl had her legs wide open similar to the photo below...

They were killed by the internet. Gone are the good old days where you can just waltz into a dairy and buy some.

You can still buy them. They're just harder to find. I found this place sells them.

I remember years and years ago in my youth. I used to work at a small factory/machine shop, there were only about 8 total people there including 3 owners, the bathroom was a typical shop bathroom. Dudes only at this company save the secretary who used the office side loo. That place Had a huge stack of porn mags, maybe 50? Used to love to take a good shit while checking out some printed poon. The factory has long shut and people moved on. But shame to think that culture has died.

Years ago I wrangled my way into a party that was held by NZX, the only NZ porn mag at the time.
Fuck, what a bunch of seedy degenerates, tacky girls, slimy wannabes, desperate ho's. Disgusting - so, MY kind of people. :)

Steve Crow, the guy behind it all, was quite a clever cookie. He was in it purely for the $$, and he did it well.

What happened to Steve Crow ? I missed the Boobs on Bikes motorcade (bikecade ?) It was one of events people were looking forward to watching ?

In that article one of them stated:

Digital media, and specifically the easy piracy that comes with it, is estimated to cost the porn industry $2 billion a year. "There's no way we will ever make money from making porn in NZ again" says Ms Wee. "No, those days are done."

It really shows their lack of foresight. Still plenty of money in the porn industry if they were smart enough to keep up with the change and harness it. They could have transitioned online. There's still a demand for local kiwi porn, just look at NZDan, and even he could have done a better job. Otherwise they moved into another area such as managing local OnlyFans girls or something.

Steve was smart enough to know his brain wasn't wired to work the new generation of porn consumers. It's quite an art, harnessing the world of OF, social media, girls that come and go, follow and unfollow, like, create clicks, .... He moved to new things. He wasn't in it for tits n ass, he is a businessman.
A solo girl can buy $5k of gear and use their savvy smarts to built an empire in their own bedroom nowadays

The dedicated adult stores are your best bet, these days. Adultworld in Tauranga had a good selection, a few years ago. I discovered Swank magazine, for the first time. That edition featured an awesome Jynx Maze set, where she looks more milfy than usual, with some nice anal pics, too. There was a dedicated Ebony Pornstars mag, too, featuring Skin Diamond

Probably the primary exposure to sex & nudity we have, comes in magazine form. I remember getting caught by Teachers, along with about 5 or 6 schoolmates, flicking through a Penthouse, as 12 year old boys, & seeing women dressed up like Pocahontas, having sex in wigwams etc. That was cool. Adultworld in Tauranga still has a pretty good magazine selection, including some older Penthouse editions for around $10. Swank is good. Swank is where I saw Jynx Maze anal photos for the first time. Those mags are wrapped, and about $20. From the same production company is the ebony series. Bootylicious or Black Beauties. Then, in Rotorua I bought a good Penthouse mag - different because you do get good articles ( I know the old smokescreen cliché: " I only read them for the articles...) , & also you get a good perv at random co-eds that probably never cracked mainstream xxx. Private was another magazine I got from that same Rotorua store but I think the store closed down, 2 years ago. Private is European & a big name in porn, going back to the late 60's or early 70's. Hot women, but too many gangbang scenes for my liking. Not a fan of that genre. However, similar to Playboy & Penthouse, you will see some really hot, unique looking women in interesting scenes. Like a hot German milk getting fucked up the arse on a pool table because she lost a bet. Or a hetero couple having anal sex while flying above the ocean on a motorized paraglider. Imagine a dedicated Indigenous Women Adult magazine....
