Apparently New Zealand Girls is planning to trial forcing punters to pay to access escorts numbers... sounds like a good way to kill your company and send customers to Escortify!

Good Afternoon

I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know about a new system update that will be coming on the 2nd of March 2026, for a trial period of 4- 6 weeks in Wellington and Christchurch.

This update is based on feedback we have received by you (the advertisers) etc. The consistent complaints of time wasters, no shows, rude messages and so forth, (as I'm sure you are aware).

Essentially the punters on the site will still be able to scroll for free, but when it comes to accessing numbers, they will be charged a small fee, that then gives them access to all numbers for 28 days - this will also give them access to our Members Lounge.

The purpose of this update, is fewer timewasters, less mental drain and more serious clients for you, the advertisers (you are our priority).

Your advertising will not change. Your profile, pricing and how you advertise, remains the same - no change. The only thing that will change is who can get through to you.

Agree. I've noticed that I don't even bother looking there often nowadays. It's just easier to go to agency websites or social media.

I guess they're trying to up their revenue but will probably burn themselves through this. It does show they are desperate though.
 
Yeah usually I just check the agency websites or do a walk in somewhere that does walk-ins. Sometimes I check Escortify or less often NZ Girls just to see if there is any new or unique girls.

Yeah I agree sounds like they are using the premise of "is fewer timewasters, less mental drain and more serious clients for you, the advertisers (you are our priority)" just as an excuse to make money of us punters!

I feel like NZG has been slowly losing ground to Escortify over time.
 
They are bundling it with their "Member's lounge" lol.

15 years ago I was drunk one night and scrolling NZ Girls looking at whores as you do. And I was drunk enough I signed up for the Membership lounge. I thought I was going to be able to see their pussies and stuff but it was the most disappointing let down ever. Was a few teasing videos and pictures, nothing explicit and there was fuck all girls doing it. Like a dozen in the country. Biggest waste of money ever!
 
The premium paying advertisers are going apeshit about it and so they should, NZG are treating it like a franchise holder that can control all their franchises at their will and discretion. Dumbass NZG haven't noticed the pendulum swinging in the opposite direction away from them in recent years and will rapidly find themselves in the same position as their close cousin AF with only 2 or 3 users left on their platform before they know it, and it will be too late to for them to recover the monopoly market they once held

NZG isn't implementing the trial for Auckland its only wellington and Christchurch, is that because they're mostly agency girls in Auck listed on their own sites as well or possibly not to piss off the Auck agencies? I don't use NZG much so not a big follower of their listings

SF was exactly the same in the beginning. It was mainly only Auckland reviews and all the AF guys complained about the lack of reviews in other regions. Then as it grew the other areas took off.
 
If only someone had a domain that could get the girls to advertise the services away from Nz girls and Escortify, I recon they could make good money

They have a monopoly. If you do a google search for escorts in Auckland you will get like 10 different alternatives come up. And that's not including 100s that have tried over the years.
 
If this happened in Auckland the only agency that may be affected will be SC as their NZG ads are more accurate on who's on the roster more than their own useless website.

I only use NZG for SC girls.

Me too. It’s the only reason I look at their website now. I have not booked a girl directly off a NZ girls advert, aside from the SC girlies, in nearly a decade.
 
If I pay for a service, ie: 'reveal a number' ... and that number turns out to be a b&s. Then I should get a refund, no? Seems like this would now fall under the Fair Trading Act and CGA - since I'm paying. So I guess I'd probably ask for refund for used petrol, parking costs, time wasted, text messages while I'm at it too. Maybe I'll report them to the Commerce Commission. Or maybe I'll just not use them again.

Meh... why not just avoid the platform all together? It's a stupid idea, they'll find out really quickly.

NZG is already on the slippery slope on their way down and has been on the slow downward trend for quite a number of years, they no longer hold their strong dominant industry monopoly and control they once held. Everybody browses it and has a look but the sites not as well liked and popular as it once was despite them believing it still is, we've all seen the growth of Escortify over their 10 or so years in the market, their market share and popularity has to come from somewhere you can't just make shit up out of thin air. And as you say if they're as smart as cousin/sister/the same person AF they're fucked and clutching at straws, their model worked to fuck AF so it can work for NZG to fuck it as well. I do hope the advertisers seriously look at boycotting them and shifting their advertising elsewhere, NZG has always fucked over their advertisers and now they want to try and fuck over what customers are still using them
 
Now what would be a cool idea is if NZG came up with their own messaging platform to protect punter privacy.
You message through NZG to arrange a booking and rude messages etc can get automatically filtered
or subsequently banned. Like banning an IP address.
Your phone service remains virtually unused.
The girl will never know your phone number!
If they came up with a system like that then I'd be happy to pay for it rather than
waste money on a cheap phone and sim card etc.

Not a bad idea. Although I guess you can just use burner sims. If you are not using a cheap budget phone you can also use eSIMs so you don't even have to buy them physically.
 
Wow, that's absolutely fucked. Just a sneaky scam to make more money. It not only effects Wellington punters but everyone looking at the Wellington section, so if you were planning a trip or something to Wellington from overseas, you can't see the numbers! It's going to seriously harm their brand image and send escorts over to escortify.

NZG's "planned outage" disabling access to the profiles contact details is 4-6 weeks for Chch and Wgtn, that's more than long enough for their paying advertiser's to decide to tell them to fuck off and go elsewhere. Most punters are scrolling both main escort websites so it's not going to make any difference to the advertisers to switch from one site to the other they'll get exactually the same exposure they had but at a lower cost and with less fish hooks in the terms.

You're right. Most punters use both NZG and Escortify. This is going to be disastrous for NZG. The Escortify team will be rubbing their hands with glee as NZG delivers them new advertisers on a silver platter!

I remember reading the newspaper article about 15-20 years ago that said all the knock shop credit card transactions came up on bank statements as "NZ Car Parts" or something generic and low key like that, you'd still be in just as much trouble with the missus if she caught you wasting too much money on your precious car 😂 😂
